Eva, Inventor of MOOVIE and Sophie's Mom
This is my daughter Sophie. She is full of energy, likes having fun, singing and dancing, going through life with all the enthusiasm you expect from a young child. But I always worried what the future held for Sophie.
Watching my daughter's physical and mental development, I noticed that not all processes related to it ran properly. At the age of two, Sophie had a very limited vocabulary, a poorly developed menu and nightly incidents resembling epilepsy. With little interested in the outside world, she directed all her attention and energy to colliding with objects, strong pressure and movement and sensations resulting from it. I got my first tips and help from a Physiotherapist who worked with rehabilitating children. She observed that Sophie has a small spectrum of autism and aphasia, and her sensory disorders were linked to this. Therefore, the topic of sensory integration became the starting point in my search for products which could help Sophie which led me to issues related to children's motor skills, early intervention related to their neurological development and rehabilitation.
The result of the research was a set of MOOVIE rehabilitation blocks that can be used in early intervention for children with sensorimotor disorders. Thanks to various combinations and arrangement of blocks, the child perfects and stimulates most of the elements of the musculoskeletal system in conjunction with the vestibular, tactile and kinesthetic systems. It integrates motor skills into a sequence of movements, adapts motor skills to changing environmental conditions. The child improves hand-eye coordination and language skills. A set of blocks supporting the physical development of a child can be used in schools during physical education lessons, in rehabilitation offices, nurseries and family homes.
The MOOVIE Rehabilitation and Therapy Blocks are designed to provide general development support for children, including:
• Improving Fine and Gross Motor
skills
• Strengthening the Nervous System through movement
• Developing and Maintaining
good Balance, Posture and Spatial Cognition
• Developing Motor-Auditory Visual
Perception
• Peer group integration
MOOVIE has been developed with young people's development and the demands of daily activity in mind.....
Assembling the jigsaw system is intuitive and gives a sense of satisfaction. The uniform colour helps children to focus on exercise and when both sets are used together it opens up a world of possibilities for more children as it can then be used by large groups.
The MOOVIE Rehabilitation and Therapy Blocks consists of two sets of blocks:
A large MOOVIE 23 and a small MOOVIE 15.
When folded, they form the shape of a cylinder with the following dimensions:
MOOVIE 23: (23-element) Ø1080mm, Height 480mm
MOOVIE 15: (15-element) Ø900mm, Height 300mm.
Both sets can be connected in the same way as a jigsaw and this enables children to build various structures, which can help improve their motor skills, spatial planning and awareness and hand eye coordination. Assembling the jigsaw
The large MOOVIE set can be used in spacious rooms such as a gym, nursery, rehabilitation room, hospital, school common room or playroom.
The small MOOVIE set is designed for smaller rooms such as an apartment, a small rehabilitation room or a common room in a children's hospital.
Both sets can also be used in an
outdoor environment.
They can even float for activity and play in the pool!
You can easily tidy the MOOVIE blocks away and it also comes with a carry bag so you can take it to other locations easily.
